As I am writing this post, myhouse is so peaceful :p because YJ is sleeping :p Normally he will take 2-hr afternoon nap. Sometimes I will be rushing to do a few things but today surfing the net is my only work :p My mom is playing Scrabble on her iPhone while my maid is reading the newspaper (she has finished her task of the day).

YJ likes to scream now. Anything not right, he will scream and scream. Really don't like to bring him to the supermarket now. He can't be long in the trolley and wanted to touch everything. If we carry him or scolded him, he will scream :( Sometimes I really don't care. I will just let him scream and carry him out of the supermarket. When can he start to behave? Hm ...

YJ new toy at the moment - iPhone and iPad. The iPad was a gift from his "po po" during the new year. iPhone is mine. I only allowed him to play this new toy about 15mins per day. But, I can't let him see my phone because he will want it once he see it or see me using it :( He knows how to slide to unlock after seeing me doing it a few times. His favourite games are Talking Tom and the Talking Gremlin.

Guess where we went last Friday?

Yes ... to the cinema. After so many rounds of shopping for CNY, we didn't have much to do after lunch @ The Gardens. My cousin suggested we go for a movie. I agreed to it because YJ is sleeping. I was hoping he will sleep for the 1st hour of the movie. But he woke up the moment we went into the cinema. I carried him to my lap and sat for a while. May be he was curious about the big screen and sat still watching the movie. After about half hour, he became restless. I made milk for him. After milk, he sat for another half hour before making some noise. We gave him some cheese cake and let him stand up. He then walk around our chairs. So the routine of cake and chair con't until the movie ended. YJ consider behave and luckily he didn't shout in the cinema :)

Back in BP again after 1-week in KL. This is an unplan trip. One week ago, we drove back to KL using my mom's car with the thought that my dad or brother will be going to KL so they can drive back together. But they are too busy to come and my mom wanted to go back BP driving alone. I disagree with the idea so have discussion with hubby on Monday night so here we are now :) Hubby will be picking us up this weekend :)

~* The Maid Drama (Update) *~

It is really "sien" to deal with the maid agency. They are so slow when there is a problem. My maid confirmed hypertension and suspected of some bone syndromes. I faxed the letter to them last Wednesday. The person in charged said will give me a reply today but when I called her, she said her manager cannot make decision and need her boss approval. The problem is, her boss does not go to the office everyday. Need to wait for another day. Fingers crossed they will give me an answer tomoro. Really cannot "tahan" the black face :(

It seems like I don't have luck on the maid. 2-day ago, my maid told me she wanted to go home because her whole body was in pain. Mostly, when in an aircon room. After discussion with my hubby, we decided to call the agency. But we can't bring her to the agency immediately because we need to make an appointment. So, I can only bring her today. At the agency, the personnel told her that if she wanted to go home, she needs to pay a lot of money and she can only go home if a medical report shows that she is not fit to work. After the agency, we went to see the doctor. The doctor can't diagnose anything and need to monitor for few days if the pain still there after some medication. IF yes, will need to go for an x-ray. However, the doctor found another major health problem with her. Her blood pressure is extremely high and it could be hypertension :( Need to go back after 1-week to check on the blood pressure again to confirm. IF confirm hypertension, she definitely not fit to work. I will have to go through the tedious process of maid application again :( Hope the higher blood pressure is because of her not enough sleep these few nights and everything will back to normal again next week.

3 more weeks to CNY. This is the first mall that I saw with CNY decorations. Usually didn't do much for my house. Just basic cleaning and simple deco. The most headache part would be buying gifts for the relatives. I tried to do it simple as well to make sure not to buy the unnecessary. And this year with my sis-in-law health condition, I must volunteer early to help my MIL :p

~* Corn Custard *~

I was craving for corn custard. Used to have this quite often when I'm a little kid. So, I tried to make it myself yesterday. The ingredients are simple - cream corn, custard powder, sugar and coconut milk (I substitute it with full cream milk). Just need to mix all the ingredients together and cook it with small fire until it thickens.

All went smoothly until the last step. As I was stirring the custard on the slow fire, YJ poo and we need to clean him up. When I returned to the custard 5mins later, the custard already thicken by itself at the middle. I have no choice but to stirred it a bit then poured it into a container. Left it cold and to store it in the fridge. I tried it this morning. It turned out not so ok. Quite sticky. May be it is because of the full cream milk instead of coconut milk.

A short update on my Australia trip. This is a very relaxing trip as we don't have a fix itinerary. YJ can consider behave during the whole trip. He slept during most of the traveling time which is a bless as I can take a short nap as well :)

The first city was Melbourne. It was raining during the 4 days we were there. Didn't really go any where. The highlight was to see penguins at Philip Island.

Second city was Sydney. YJ travelled a lot in Sydney. We were on the Explorer bus, ferry and train. The Opera House was as beautiful and we enjoyed a very delicious seafood meal at The Sydney Fish Market. The crab is cheap if we compare it dollar to dollar. Love the Darling Harbour area and it has developed so much since my last trip about 10 years ago :) I must mentioned about one restaurant here - Mamak. This is a Malaysian restaurant at China Town. It sells roti canai and it is amazingly long crowd every night when we passed by. My uncle didn't want to try it as he said the not delicious roti canai is not worth AUD6 :D

Next was Gold Coast. My mom and cousin joined us here. We shopped a lot here. YJ have fun at the beach :)

The last city was Adelaide. There was a sudden change of weather. It was only about 18C. We went to the beach and YJ really enjoyed his time there. He was running and 4 adults were chasing after him :D My mom enjoyed her time at the strawberry farm and YJ enjoyed plucking the leaves of the strawberry plant :D

It was a good trip overall but I think I have spend too much on chocolate as gifts (around AUD250) :p

We went to Bangsar Village today to check out a play school for YJ - FasTrackids. Quite like the place. It is small but their facility is good. I ike their idea of small group (6:1). We will be going for their Play & Learn class starting next week for once a week. We will try out for a term first.

After the "school visit", we went for some tea at Marmalade cafe. YJ made some new friends there :) One of the reason that I wanted to go to class is to let YJ make some friends. Hope he will like it. If he is ok with the class, I will then look for some music class for him :)

Then, we went to MV for dinner. It was good to have some catch up after such a long time. I felt like "katak di bawah tempurung" just after few months not in the work force :D Looking forward to the next meet up :)

Yesterday night we were at my brother's room. My brother was doing something on his computer. As usual, YJ cannot sit still and watch. He grab the mouse and mouse pad and try to click on it. After a while, we try to take away the mouse pad so he can stop but he ended up fighting with us for the mouse pad because he don't want to use the mouse without the mouse pad. I was wondering, how does YJ know that the mouse need to have a mouse pad in order to function :D When he was playing with the mouse, surprisingly, the mouse never goes out from the mouse pad :D

I'm back in BP because my hubby is travelling. Hope is able to stay till mid Nov. Good to be back home to be pampered by my parents :p :) Especially now with YJ, it is good that there is a few more people to entertain him. He is now too energetic. YJ does not walk yet. My dad is so eager for him to walk and asked my mom to get him awalker. The main problem now is, he doesn't even want to get into the walker :D He is shouting so loud when we try to put him in. Ya. Now, YJ will shout if there's anything that he doesn't like. Bathing him now is like a war. Recently, he will shout each time we try to wash his hair. It is a nightmare when he cry and shout while washing hair. And when we tried to put on clothes for him, he roll on the bed so fast that it is hard to catch him. My mom said this is because I ate too much prawn and crab :D

~* My Late Grandma *~

I read one of the post of this blogger about her grandma and made me think of my late beloved grandma (my mom's mom). She passed away the same year when I got married (actually it is less than a month after I got married). Each time when I think of her, I still feel pain in my heart and really miss her so much.

My late grandma took care of me since I was born. I can say I spend more time with her than my mom. Even when I move to BP, she followed us there and took care of me and my brother until I am 15yo. When I was in college, I stayed with her again. She was such a loving grandma and her sudden death is really a big blow to us. Really wish she is still here where I can hold her and "sa jiao" with her :)

~* 小宝贝 First Long Haul Trip *~

So excited. We will be going to Australia for 3-week in December. My cousin is graduating in December, so we follow my aunt there and have a bit of tour (Adelaide - Melbourne - Sydney - Adelaide). My mom will join us later. I know it could be a hassle bringing 小宝贝 there. But a free and easy holiday should be fine I think. "fingers crossed" :)

I am now busy planning what to bring especially 小宝贝 milk powder. I am not sure whether I can bring in milk powder as the custom clearance in AU is very strict. I have persoanlly seen once that the officer throw away the milk powder as milk product is not allowed to be brought in to the country. Need to check this with the embassy also. Not plannig to buy new clothes here if it is not enough or not fit anymore. It will be fun shopping for 小宝贝 in AU ;) When come to anything for 小宝贝, I am very paranoid. Told my mom that I wanted to bring rice also :p Being scolded by her. So this idea was dropped.

I am now counting the days ............

小宝贝 's little aunt (which was one day older than him) celebrated her bday last Sunday @ A&W. Love her soft pink bday cake :)

The highlight of the evening was the appearance of the big bear.

小宝贝 happily play with the bear but I think he dreamt of it in the middle of the night and cried out so loud for about 10mins. And the next morning, we showed him the pic of the bear and he quickly brushed it away :D

Today we celebrated 小宝贝 1st bday with both side of the families :) Nothing fancy just Chinese dim sum buffet. HL was helping with the pics and I don't have it with me now. I only have the bday cake pic.

Love the 3 toy cars on top of the cake. They are the 3 toy cars that 小宝贝 normally play with and the sugary toy cars are more expensive than the real one. I keep them in the fridge now for memory :p

Tired. Was really tired even though I am at home :p
First, my maid has left. Second, the part time maid I have send back to help my in laws because their new maid has ran away this morning :( I have to admit that I am not a good mother. I have never wash the milk bottles. I only supervise :p Sounds like my previous post - Project Manager :D Yesterday was the first time I washed all the bottles. Feel so "cacat" :p And I have also never bath my son alone. Even though with my mum's help, still stress because my son cannot stop moving.
A lot of things on the mind need to be done ... boil the water, wash clothes, keep the house clean, etc. Definitely need to go out on the weekend :p Things will be better once I familiarise with all the housework, I hope :)

On Saturday, it's the birthday party for 小宝贝 2 counsins. While waiting for the party to start, the cousins surrounded 小宝贝 while he was having his dinner and one of the cousin played Baby Alive by feeding him :D

Before the end fo the party, "ye ye" and "nai nai" let 小宝贝 practise cake cutting :D

On Sunday, we went to Floria @ Putrajaya. Overall rating on a scale of 1 to 10, I will rate 5 (don't want to fail it basically :p). I didn't go around much as it is crowded and 小宝贝 made so much noice as it is warm. So we went to the lake side to wait for my mom and aunt while I enjoy some KFC :) Here are some pictures.

I have prepared 小宝贝 for the hot weather - singlet, cotton pants, cooling socks and a portable fan :p

But I think the event was just too boring for him :D

小宝贝 is officially 10-mth now :) Time passed real fast. He loves to climb up and down. Once he woke up, the first thing he does is the climb up and call me :D His daddy played a lot with him. ~* Half Day Trip *~

I was back in Batu Pahat for a few days last week. Mentioned about UK Farm to my parents. My dad was so kind to bring us there on Friday amid his buzy schedule.

小宝贝 was all ready for the trip :)

My dad was not quite sure about the place and we end up in another farm (Alita) in Yong Peng :D We did some tour around the small farm to understand the goat milk process.

The goats are from New Zealand. The grass they eat is from US and they only drink filtered water. The barn is also equipped with big fans so that it is cooling. And there is no strong smell in the barn.

This is where the goats drink water from. It is all automatic. Once the goat put their head down, the water will flow out automatically. Cool!

The milk extracting area and packing room. They will extract the goat milk in the morning and evening. If you go at the right time, you will be able to experience the process.

The red shirt guy is our guide. He brought the technology of goat farming from Taiwan.

We were given some goat's milk to try at the end of the trip. To my surprise, it taste so good. No "goat" smell at all.

After the visit of Alita farm, we con't our journey to UK farm in Kluang (between Ayer Hitam and Kluang).

Once we turned in from the main road, the 6km journey to UK farm is all in red sand.

The farm is not fully develop yet. It just opened in April.

Only limited activities at the farm.

3. Ostrich park (but only 4 ostrich available :D)

Accommodation is available. Either camp or stay in their chalet (only 9 chalets available).

For a city girl like me, this is consider quite good for some outing once a while. I really hope they will develop well (ie more activities) in the near future. It is good for a short getaway from the buzy city life :)

Today I am so glad that someone recognized me as a regular customer :p
I went out during lunch hour to pick-up my car from the service centre. When I was coming back to MV, the jam started once I turned into the MV junction. The electronic board showed all car parks level were full and I made no hesitation to use valet parking at The Gardens (actually I will use valet park if I go out during lunch hour). The way towards The Gardens main entrance was also jam :( and when I reached the main entrance, valet park is full. How? I need to go back to work and all car parks are full. Then, I saw this lady that I usually deal with when at valet park. I called her and asked her whether she can help :) She recognized me and without hesitation, she help to park my car :) So glad. Or else, I will need to stuck in the jam or wait in the car park for a parking space.

I have made a tough decision after months of consideration and have handed in the letter today. Yes. I have officially tendered my resignation and will be a full time babysitter to my son :) I hope I have made a right decision (this has been always a reminder from my hubby :D). Finally got a new car seat for 小宝贝. The old car seat is a bit too small for 小宝贝. He is so happy when he first sit on it as it is higher and can see more things :) And this new Concord car seat can recline to an almost sleeping position which I like. 小宝贝 can sleep better :)

For me, I was a bit emotional yesterday when I wrap up and keep the old car seat. My baby has grown so fast :) Now, he also doesn't like to be carried to go to sleep. I feel a bit lost also. Love hugging close to my baby :)

~* Our Saturday Outing *~

On Saturday, suppose to meet Jane but was cancelled. So, I decided to go to Pavilion.

For lunch, I had bak kut teh. Yes. There is a bak kut teh restaurant in Pavilion and it's originated from Klang. The food was quite ok but the soup was a bit salty. Price was a bit high but with 小宝贝, I can't go to the traditional bak kut teh shop. I like it there as it is spacious and clean as well as it is air conditioned.

After lunch, as we walked towards the lift, we had some free ice cream as this ice cream parlour was offering free ice cream for its opening. I took the strawberry flavor. Yummy. Think I will go back there again.

We had some walk in Pavilion and before we leave, we dropped by Chicco to get 小宝贝 a toy car.

Do you still remember any nursery rhythm? Before I had 小宝贝, the nursery rhythm I know is only Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Now, I am no better as I know less than 10. 小宝贝 loves to hear music when he goes to sleep and it has to be live also :D Even with the CD on, he will want us to sing for him. He wants to choose song as well. Those that he don't want to hear, he will make sound until we sing the right song :D Lately, my aunt sing him a new song - Do Re Mi and he loves it. So, now, the mommy has to learn this song :D

~* Annual Labour Day Trip *~

This year, my hubby's company annual Labour Day trip is Cameron Highland. It's been almost 20 years since my last trip there and I am quite looking forward to it. However, the trip turned out to be not so pleasant as we took almost 7 hours to reach (with about half hour stop at Tapah rest area). Cameron Highland was really crowded and with narrow roads and a lot of "attractions" along the way, it made the road congested.

We got stuck and all the cars at one point are not moving. 小宝贝 cousins were so bored and they decided to come out from the car and talk a walk. We wind down the window and let 小宝贝 cooling down a bit also. He has been very restless after so long in his car seat.

We didn't do much there. After we reached, it is almost dinner time. The next day, with 小宝贝, my hubby does not want to go any long walk. We just managed to go to the Boh Tea Centre. The view along the way are just amazing.

When we were there, 小宝贝doesn't really want the cereal that I made for him. He is very fuzzy now. The cereal or porridge not nice, he won't take. Luckily, my mom is around and manage to ask her help to cook some poorridge. 小宝贝finally has some hot homecook porridge after 2 meals of cereal.

I was really upset by one of the Director last Friday. His words were so sarcastic. I was wondering why I should go through all these stress. It is not healthy for me at all. Since I changed to this team, I am waking up middle of the night again. Sigh ... Better stop here. Or else, I will not be able to stop :p

So, to calm my mood a bit, retail therapy is the best :p (it means my bank account hurts a lot). My latest purchase - Bugaboo Bee. A compact and lighter stroller for evening walk and travelling :)

And I have also got a parasol for it. With the parasol, it will look like this. Nice ah? :p

It seems like I have not stop buying for 小宝贝 :p Recently, I got him a denim jacket from Gap as he don't have a sweater. With my mom comment that it is not that expensive, it makes me think it is even worth it :p I love their current Stella McCartney collection. But I think it is quite expensive after looking at the price on the internet.

It is now the "qing ming" period. I am being excused from the "qing ming" outing this year because I need to take care of 小宝贝. However, I made an effort to pay respect to my grandmother at Nirvana Memorial Park. My mother and I went yesterday. We just brought a bouque of flower as we are not allowed to burn any joss sticks because my uncle already went earlier.

Sigh ... sometime it is really sad to have politics within the family.

Sigh ... Really sien. Since the start of the week, I am being irritated by this researcher almost every morning or the entire day. All her ad hoc request needs to be done within the day; q'naire instruction not clear which needs to be re-do, agreed timeline with the client before checking with us, etc. I almost want to lost control and shout at her already :( I know my mood is also no good since I started work as I need to juggle between work and my baby. Still need time to adjust to it :(

To soothen my mood a bit today, I decided to get some English Breakfast tea pack during lunch and have a little English tea in the office using the Alice in Wonderland tea pot set that I claimed yesterday :p :D Wanted to get one of this tea pot set in pink long time ago. At the moment, I think I can settle with this first in the office :p I think I also should get some scones :D

I am back to work on 1 March but it doesn't start in a smooth way. 小宝贝 was having fever early in the morning. This is the first time he is having fever. I am quite panic but am lucky that my mom is staying with us these 2-week. Gave him fever medicine and the fever subside when I'm coming to work in the morning. However, the fever came again around noon and asked my hubby to bring 小宝贝 to doctor in the afternoon. Doctor confirmed that 小宝贝 had viral infection and asked us just gave him fever medicine as he needs his own immune system to fight it. My poor 小宝贝. So no mood almost the whole day. May be 小宝贝 don't want his mommy to go to work :p :D

Gong Xi Fa Chai!!

I know this post is a bit late but I was busy with CNY and 小宝贝. This post is a combination of a few posts that I suppose to write earlier :p

My 1st "lou sang" was with the MCA of my previous company :)
小宝贝 1st CNY. Love the "tou fa" this year. Blossom really well.
小宝贝 was watching lion dance with a ear plug.

This year, the lion no more dance on pillars. It dance on bamboo bridge :D

Love this giant flower.
Was back to my parents house in BP on the 3rd day of CNY. We were being told to relax in the karaoke room as there are guests occupying the living hall. 小宝贝 was playing with his wooden horse for most of the time which is really good.

Oh ... I almost forgot. We found out 小宝贝 has two teeth on the 2nd day of CNY :)

Was so impress with my parents passion fruit plant in their orchard.
Was back to KL on the 8th day of CNY and attended one of the niece b'day party on the same night. The little niece is really creative. She loved to decorate her own b'day cake.

We went to Fullhouse for a farewell lunch for one of my counsin who will be leaving for AU. We choose Fullhouse because of the deco. Food ... I don't really like it because almost all food taste a bit sweet.

Visited 小宝贝 lil' aunt after the farewell lunch.
It seem like they are getting along really well :) :D
Brought 小宝贝 to the temple for the first time yesterday as I need to pray "tai sui". Luckily he well behave under such hot condition.
After temple, went to lunch at The Gardens and bought a Bumbo Baby Seat for 小宝贝. The Bumbo Baby Seat matches well with 小宝贝 sunglasses :D
Time really flies. 小宝贝 with be 6-mth old next week.

I love shopping :p With 小宝贝 this year, I have another excuse to shop more :p I have over buy again :p I think the new clothes for 小宝贝 is able to last for one week :p

I love the little shirts from Paul Frank. They all look so cute and I ended up buying 3 for 小宝贝. This set is for reunion dinner.

For Virgo, the lucky colour is orange and yellow. So I bought a orange polo shirt for 小宝贝for 1st day of CNY :)On the 2nd day of CNY, there will be an open house. It will be really hot. I chose this cooling pant and shirt set for 小宝贝 :)

The most expensive pant and shirt set would be this.

This is from Burberry Baby and it's a gift from his "po po". 小宝贝will be wearing this back to Batu Pahat to "pai nien" with his "gong gong & po po" :)

My small organization is in crisis again. I sacked my nanny last 2-week as she and my maid are almost exploding. I think my maid got a shock of my decision as part of the reason is because of her. After 2-day the nanny left, she told me she don't want to work anymore. Sigh ... One after another. I am really stress and mad also.
Had a discussion with my boss and he agreed to let me have unpaid leave until I settled my problem. I don't want to quit in such a rush also.
My mom came to rescue on the weekend itself :) It is always a relieve to see my mom when I am so down. With my maid decided to leave, we went to ask for the procedure for new maid. The agency told us it needs 4-month for new maid application!! :( Stress again. How can I on such long unpaid leave?
However, after 3-day and much consideration, my maid decided to stay as it will be difficult to find job in her country. We decided to let her stay until the new maid came. We don't like this decision but this is the best we can have now. My mom will be staying with us then. After discussion with my hubby and mom, I will be on unpaid leave till end Feb after everyone settling down on CNY.
My mom has gone home yesterday night and I am the fulltime babysitter for my 小宝贝 today. So tired after only half day as he refused to sleep :( Hope tomorrow will be better :)

~* Re-Open of My 2-Employee Organization *~

With the arrival of my 小宝贝 nanny on 2-Jan, my 2-employee organization has re-opened. After one week, how is the progress?

I think this arrangement is good as my 小宝贝 still small and my hubby will be busy with his new factory this year. But, my 小宝贝 nanny and maid cannot get along. I just don't understand what is so difficult to being good to each other. Both have their good and bad. I will just have to accept it. But ... they cannot accept it. Sigh ...

One thing that I cannot "tahan" my 小宝贝 nanny is - she complaint about my maid to who ever came to my house ie my mom, aunt, MIL. Why can't she just complaint to me.

My maid - she is slow on everything but I cannot deny she has been helping me a lot with my 小宝贝. But over the weekend, she has been saying things that irritate me like "so many things to do" and "why do I have to cook everyday". I just ignore her comment. Too pampered already I think. My 小宝贝 nanny has been saying to me that my maid like to lock herself in the ironing room. I told my hubby about it and said wanted to spot check one day. My hubby said better not as I might get heart attack as my maid could be locking in the room trying on my clothes (all my clothes are in the ironing room). Upon hearing this, I decided not to spot check. It is always good to not knowing the truth :p

One funny thing is - both trying to impress my 小宝贝 ie trying to make him happy :D Why? My 小宝贝 has been closer to my maid and when the nanny came, my 小宝贝 still adjusting to her. Whenever my maid walked pass my 小宝贝, he recognized my maid and will smile at her if she called out his name. I think the nanny cannot "tahan" and trying to make him smile as well :D "shake head" There are already a few incidents.

I have no conclusion on how to settle this yet. My mum is trying to talk to both of them now to smoothen their relationship. I hope it will work. I am glad that my 小宝贝nanny is off this weekend and I have a break from all this. I will worry again next week :p (The worse scenerio - I will get a taxi to fetch my aunt daily to help me temporary. I have calculated the expense of this. It will be almost the same rate that I am paying my nanny)

~* My "Market-ing" Experience *~

I feel so "cacat" yesterday when I went to the pasar pagi to buy fresh foods for cooking for this week. My 小宝贝 nanny is here so I will need the maid to cook for her in the afternoon and at night for us. I have never been to a market by myself. If I need to cook, I will just buy some fresh ingredients from the supermarket. But to buy food for 4 people a week from the supermarket, it will cost so much especially fish and meat.

I went to the pasar pagi with my maid and when I'm standing in front of the fish stall, I really stunt because I don't know the name for most of the fish. I will have to depend on my maid to buy the fish. The most funny part was, I wanted to buy "ma yao" fish. I aksed the seller if they hv "ma yao". But in fact, I already asked him to weighed "ma yao" fish. I can't recognise because the fish was being cut into pieces already :D Total spending for fish is RM62.

Luckily, I am still ok with the name of vegetables :D Total spending for vegetables is around RM30. Then, at the chicken stall, I stood there for quite some time before deciding to get 2 kampung chicken which cost RM36. It took me longer to decide because the chicken is not as clean as what I normally buy from the supermarket (because the stall is so wet and the chicken head still attached). At one point, I wanted to turn off not buying. But when the thought of spending almost half my salary on a maid and a nanny, I will have to be careful on my spending.

For pork, I went to the An Sin pork shop at SS15 to get my supply. This is the most expensive item. I paid RM104 for meat to make soup and 2 spare ribs. I prefer An Sin because the pork is cleaner and taste better. TOTAL spending for the trip to the market is around RM232.

The most significant savings if I buy from the wet market would be the fish. If I buy fish from supermarket, I would buy from the sashimi section as I don't have to worry about the freshness. I would normally spend about RM30-40 for fish for one meal :p

With the advice of my hubby's friend, we have installed CCTV at a few points in the house to monitor the maid. At the beginning I feel quite funny with these equipments at home. Feel like I am being monitor also :p
Is the CCTV helpful? I think to some point kua. If I wanted to go out or take a nap, my hubby will just sit in front of the computer surfing and monitor from upstairs. Yesterday, I was home late and my hubby had an emergency at his factory. He left the baby with the maid for about an hour. Guess what we do before we go to bed? Both of us watched back the video of that 1hour. Really funny though. Like private investigator trying to find out something :D The maid was ok except she trying to do something which was not suppose to - switching on the TV. But she did not manage to watch as our TV remote has spoilt and she did not know how to manage the TV manually :D

This is how the Primo Viaggio Tri-Fix car seat looks like on the Peg Perego Skate's frame. I bought Skate as I like the look of it. My hubby has been complaining to me that I am not practical as the frame itself weights 13.7kg :p I have been using it for a few times and still loving it. May be I have been using valet park each time I go to the mall :p But with a stroller, I need to wait for the lift in the mall. Quite ma fan as the lift always full if it is a peak time :(

I am in a holiday mood now. But I can't take leave anymore as I just came back from my extended confinement break :( To comfort myself, I'm looking for hotels in Sydney. I would like to plan a family holiday to HK or Sydney next year end. After looking through the pictures of stunning fireworks at Harbour Bridge, I prefer Sydney to HK now :p Love this Grand Mercure Darling Harbour. If the holiday plan is confirmed, I hope I can secure a 3-room apartment at this hotel :) Nice location and nice view :)

I have changed to a new work station since I came back to work. It is colder and my legs are so cold at the end of the day. To make my legs warmer, I bought a furry slippers with pom pom from La Senza. It is so comfy and cute :) I wanted to get the pink colour. But I drop the idea as it will get dirty easier.

I would like to try my 小宝贝 on cloth diaper. The other day, I pass by one new shop in Bangsar Village and decided to buy one to try out. I choose Pro Baby because it is made from 100% organic cotton. But, it only has 4 colours to choose from. I will try out this Friday as it is still in the washing as it needs to be washed 3 times before use. I hope my 小宝贝 will like it as it is quite expensive for just to try out once :p

My mom was complaining that 小宝贝 is not comfortable on the bouncer as the head always look up. So, we bought this Combi high chair for him so that he can move around. Love the seat materials. So so comfortable.

But ah ... I think 25% of the price is because of logistic. When I collected it yesterday, the sales person told me that it just arrived from SG as they don't keep stock here. The logistic flow goes like this - Made in China -> Japan -> SG -> MY. No wonder all the children stuff so expensive.

When my dad bought this piano for me, he always said that this is suppose to be my "ka chong" :D After going to college, I didn't touch it at all. We are suppose to transfer this piano to my house when my parents moved into the new house. But it still ended up at my parents house as I was pregnant during that time. I tried to play some of the songs the other day. My fingers are so hard and I can't even play the simple scale :( There goes the 10-year of learning and expensive learning fees :p

Although my maid is a bit blur, but with her presence, it really help a lot.

- She helps to look after my baby while I wash up or pumping milk
- I don't have to worry about the laundry
- After each feed, I just leave the bottle at the sink and she will clean it
- She helps my mum in the kitchen (My maid and my mum seem to get along very well. She even watch Korean drama with my mum almost every night :D)
- She will clean the table/plates after each meal
- She will bring the bottles and hot water to my room every night

Do we really can't live without a maid now?

At My Hometown

I have been back to my hometown for almost a week now. But only able to get connected today as the computer back here is really slow. Have to negotiate with my brother to have it changed.
Feel better back here as my hubby is currently busy with his factory and I am always alone at home till almost 8-9pm at night. Back here, I have my parents to talk to and not eating alone at home. I feel so down the few days after my confinement lady has left (before coming back) but feel much better after coming back home :)
I am now the fulltime babysitter to my baby and my main task is to provide milk for him. I am still trying to adjust my timing around his schedule and take care of his needs myself. I still not "fong sam" to leave it to my maid as she is quite blur sometime eg. the bathing water can be quite hot or the drinking water is not warm enough. I am actually looking for a stay-at-home babysitter. One of my hubby friend has recommended one but she later found out the lady is not really good. So I am now still tyring hard to find one.

New Korean Drama

I am currently in love with this new Korean drama which is shown in KBS every Wed and Thurs at 9pm - Take Care of the Young Lady. Love the male lead character - Seo Dong Chan :p I am also very impress with the dresses worn by the lead actress. All are so pretty. Here's the synopsis.

Kang Hye Na, the only successor of Kang-san Group, is the owner of the ‘Lady Castle’ and lives a ‘princess-like’ life with her servants. "A Simple 2 Employees Organization" (An Update)

An update on my small organization. After the first day of not talking to each other, it seem like my 2 employees are getting along quite well now. I have no idea who has give in as I just pretend nothing happen. They have been complaining each other to different people and those people has report back to me :D I would assume both also did something wrong and they will have to settle among themself.
But, I really cannot stand the speed of my maid doing the housework. I have used to my parttime maid who is so efficient. My maid now is super slow compared to them and the quality is out. I will have to close one eye so that I will not stress myself out. I am really no confident yet leaving her taking care of my baby and I always by her side when she is with my baby. May be it is her character that made me have no confident in her. She looks blur to me and her sense of cleaniness still need to be educated strictly. Sigh ...

A Simple 2 Employees Organization

During my confinement, I have created a simple "2 employees organization" which comprise of a confinement lady (CL) and a maid. And this company is now in crisis because both of them are not in good term :( They are not talking to each other since my CL coming back from her break yesterday. This small company is so difficult to manage than I think.
My CL is a bit loud when talking and I think my maid some how misunderstood the tone. I will see how the situation these 2-day and will have to talk to both of them. Really sien have to deal with these at this time :( Sigh ...

Cooking

During my confinement, I found out (actually it's my CL who found out) that my neighbour who has 3 primary school kids never cook at home (she ordered delivery service) although she is not working. Very "pat" right? :p
With this finding, the discussion begin and the group has a conclusion that they think this is not right. Do you think so? A stay at home mom must cook?

Nervous

I'm a bit nervous now. My confinement lady (CL) will be on leave for 6-day starting tomorrow. I will be handling the baby alone for the first time. My mum will be here but I still feel nervous as well especially when my baby is crying. Earlier, my mum won't be staying over but my CL said it is better as she said she scared I will cry with the baby :D

My Confinement Period So Far

My confinement period so far so good (as long as I closed one eye :p).

Let me start with my confinement lady (CL). The CL that I have currently is not the one that I have booked. She is a replacement as the CL that I booked can't make it as her previous employer also deliver late. The first impression on her - she is very young. She is the 2nd generation of CL and she is only 40 years old. She is also very loud. My house has not been so "noisy" since we have moved in :D

The first day she is here, she ransack my whole kitchen (I think is their practise kua). So, she know where all the things are. I quite not used to her presence the first few days. I let her do things her way. If I were to put in comments, both of us will not be happy. My hubby comment on the kitchen - it looks more like a kitchen now :p But I think it is messy. And my fridge, I need to double clean when my confinement is over.

Food wise, breakfast is standard - "min sin" with ginger wine chicken. While lunch and dinner, she will cook different dishes. So far, I like the pork ribs with potato as well as the Bovril pork ribs. Yummy :p

On taking care of baby, I will comment from time to time if I think I'm right la. I will need to start to learn to take care of my baby now as she will be on leave for 5-day (starting end of next week) before coming back for extention of another 2-week. Why extention? Long story but the main purpose is to train the maid on baby care.

With a maid, a lot of things I can instruct her to do but I still getting used to having someone assisting me doing my housework. Luckily she is trained in housework and I will just have to train her on taking care of baby. She seem like scared to talk to me. A lot of things she told the CL but not me. Do I look fierce? :p

My Hubby B'day in August

We celebrated my hubby b'day in mid August. He celebrated twice this year where one dinner was at his home and another time was celebrated together with his mom at J&R. We went there because of the pork knuckle but it was sold out that night. What a let down :(

For cake, I got him cupcakes from Delactable and the kids just love it :) They just can't bear to eat it.

What present did he get? A book - A Dad's Guide to Babycare :D

The nieces and nephews hand made b'day cards to him and I especially like the one with the picture of a man carrying a baby while blowing the candles. So cute :)

My Labour Experience

Well ... This is my first baby and as the due date getting closer, I am actually a bit nervous as I don't know what to expect. The expected due date given by my gynae is 1 Sep but nothing happen until the early morning of 7 Sep. The contraction came around 1am and by 2.30pm, when I go to the toilet, I found blood. So, we quickly getting ready for hospital.

I was at the delivery suite until 8am when my gynae came to check on me. I was only dilated 4cm and need to be induced. She also mentioned that the baby head was not at the right position and will advise again by noon. As 7Sep is a public holiday in Selangor, my gynae left after that.

After half an hour, the nurse came to check on me and found that baby heartbeat was not stable. She said need to go for operation immediately. The head nurse also came to check and they called the doctor immediately. After which, everything happen so fast and I was at the operation theather by 10am.

Luckily the operation was on time as the baby already starting to poo and need to be kept under observation for 4hours. I saw my baby first time at 2pm and so relieve that he is fine :)

My baby name is still in progress as the "si fu" that my in law wanted to get the name is on holiday and will only be back this week. At the moment, I call him "bao bao" :)

A New Blog for the New Phase of Life
